Minecraft:Malaclypse Interior Waterway
The Malaclypse Interior Waterway (Esperanto: Malaclypso Interno Akvovojo), colloquially known as the canal (Esperanto: la kanalo) is a large artificial waterway from the Givers' Inlet at New Seattle to the East Sea, connecting New Seattle and Bay City. It was constructed by Erisiana in 2014.
Ports
There are multiple ports along the canal, both private and public, including these major docks:
- New Seattle Canal Docks
- Finéjo Docks
- Malaclypse and Portsmouth North and West Docks
- Green Willie Naval Station Docks
Docking is permissible for all ships at Finéjo, Malaclypse, and Portsmouth. All other docks require permission from their respective authorities.
Bridges
All bridges offer a clearance of at least 100 metres from the surface of the water. The following bridges span the canal:
- New Seattle rail bridge (from New Seattle to Finéjo)
- Erisiana 10A bridge (spur of Erisiana route 10)
- Lookout Naval Station Truss Bridge (near the edge of the canal, low clearance)
- Lookout Naval Station Arch Bridge
Tunnels
There are several tunnels under the canal. These include:
- Finéjo tunnel, rail and pedestrian link between Finéjo and Malaclypse
- Caerpen tunnel, pedestrian link between New Seattle and Caerpen
Markers
The canal uses various buoys at several places to signal to mariners various conditions, hazards, or boundaries.
Red
Red buoys mark forbidden or extremely dangerous areas. Crossing red areas may result in boats (even small craft) being destroyed, whether by natural or artificial forces.
Orange
Orange buoys mark extremely hazardous obstacles or conditions, such as bridge piers. All craft should avoid these areas and exercise great care near them.
Yellow
Yellow buoys mark areas which may be safe for very small ships, but larger ships should avoid. This includes smaller waterways and shoals.
White and Black
White and black buoys delineate national boundaries or change of jurisdiction.
Lighthouses
Lighthouses on the canal include:
- Berkeley Tower, near Givers' Inlet
- Big Ball Light, near the New Seattle canal docks
- Caerpen Light, near Caerpen's territory, across from the Big Ball Light
- Rainbow Lighthouse, in Malaclypse
- Green Willie Light, near Green Willie Naval Station
